Alasdair has spent over 30 years working within the submarine cable industry and is presently CTO for Deep Blue Cable, an independent company incorporated in Saint Lucia, and developer and owner of a state-of-the art subsea fibre-optic system which will provide connectivity across the Caribbean islands and the Americas.
He has worked for manufacturers, cable owners, service providers and as a consultant. During that time he has been involved with cables from the initial concept all the way through the processes to installation and commissioning. Clive has worked in the submarine cable industry for 40 years and has been the Secretary of ACMA for over 20 years. He is also the Company Director and Secretary of the European Subsea Cables Association (ESCA). Having worked most of his career in BT within the subsea operations and maintenance team, dealing with subsea cable maintenance agreement, operational and related financial aspects, in 2011 he set up his own independent business working within the subsea industry from both a UK and international perspective.Steven BalkContract Management Group Chairman
Steve has over 40 years of experience in the telecommunications industry being involved in both domestic and international work. The last 21 years Steve's efforts have focused on Sprint owned or operated international cable assets, specifically installation, maintenance and operations of submarine cables. Alain Polloni has almost two decades experience in submarine cables on restoration, operations and maintenance. His mission is to position Orange as the leading enterprise for ensuring swift recovery of services in case of subsea cables disruptions. Alain manages an experienced team of 8 playing a major international role for restoring services, witnessing shipboard repairs and assuring cable stations liaison.
Prior to his current position, he held several positions during his forty years’ career with Orange from R&D to International Business Development in Middle-East and management of a NOC for Orange international networks.
