Meet the ACMA team



Alasdair Wilkie
Chairman and Schedule B Bureau

Alasdair has spent over 30 years working within the submarine cable industry and is presently CTO for Deep Blue Cable, an independent company incorporated in Saint Lucia, and developer and owner of a state-of-the art subsea fibre-optic system which will provide connectivity across the Caribbean islands and the Americas.

He has worked for manufacturers, cable owners, service providers and as a consultant. During that time he has been involved with cables from the initial concept all the way through the processes to installation and commissioning. He has represented companies within national and international associations and for 5 years he was the Chairman of Subsea Cables UK.



Clive Spencer
Secretary and Website Administrator

Clive has worked in the submarine cable industry for over 40 years and has been the Secretary of ACMA for over 20 years. He is also the Company Director and Secretary of the European Subsea Cables Association (ESCA). Having worked most of his career in BT within the subsea operations and maintenance team, dealing with subsea cable maintenance agreement, operational and related financial aspects, in 2011 he set up his own independent business working within the subsea industry from both a UK and international perspective.



Anders Tysdal
Contract Management Group Chairman

Anders Tysdal is the CTO Infrastructure at Tampnet, overseeing the company’s extensive telecom networks, including 5,500 km of submarine fibre optic cables. Tampnet’s network provides international connectivity and provides critical offshore connectivity to around 450 energy-producing assets globally.

Anders has 25 years’ experience in designing, building, maintaining, and securing telecom networks. His work spans multiple technologies, from subsea fibre optic cables to microwave radio links, satellite systems and advanced 5G mobile solutions.

Fault Reporting Bureau



Kathy Priore
Central Billing Bureau

Kathy has almost 30 years of experience at AT&T in the submarine cable industry relating to finance and accounting experience, including billing, financial results reporting, financial processes and design of key controls, project management, cash applications and general ledger entries. Currently, she is the Director of the Central Billing Bureau which has fiduciary responsibility on behalf of the cable consortia to provide billing & payment services.
