ACMA provides the same services to the communication networks operated by oil and gas companies as it does for telecoms companies. It should be noted however that operational procedures stipulated by the oil and gas companies may restrict the ship suppliers’ ability to undertake the repair of cables in the immediate vicinity of offshore platforms in some instances. The Service Suppliers contracted under the Agreement are happy to work with ACMA Parties to accommodate their required working practices.
